According to a post by the Daily Star, a TikTok time traveler claims astronauts are about to find human life on another planet. I mean, that’s what they say.
“Attention,” reads the message with bright yellow caution signs, “This video is not a joke. I am a real time traveler from the year 2582.”
Plot twist: This other planet will be a literal second Earth within the Solar System, complete with other humans. A cloned Earth, if you will. A mirrored version of our own home planet. And it’ll all be revealed…tomorrow, May 8, 2021.
How astronauts are going to find this planet, I’m not sure. Astronomers, maybe. But here? In our star system? I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a little skeptical. Then again, these time travel videos have received millions of views, so what do I know?
At the very least, if you trust the words of this time traveler, it looks like humanity might be able to breach that year 2564 ‘brick wall.’ Which is good, because that was making me pretty nervous.
TikTok seems to be the new hotspot for temporal adventurers these days, which I suppose makes sense. They like to keep up with the technology of the era they’re visiting. With John Titor, in the late 90s and early 00s, it was fax machines and backwater message boards. For the past few years, it’s been YouTube. Now, it’s TikTok. What’ll it be next? I don’t know.
Maybe bits of paper in a coffee shop drawer.
Oh wait, we already did that one.
Don’t forget the other recent TikTok traveler from the year 2485 who claims we’ll find something ‘amazing’ in the Atlantic Ocean on October 7, 2021. What could it be? A really big fish? I’ll keep you posted.
