Netflix Afterlife Docuseries ‘Surviving Death’ Premieres Today

Last year, Netflix rebooted Unsolved Mysteries. Now, they’re heading into more paranormal waters with a new docuseries called Surviving Death, which will look into a range of topics involving the concept of the afterlife.

“Over six episodes, Surviving Death explores questions that have been contemplated throughout time: What does it mean to die, and is death the end of our existence? Weaving together innovative new research with firsthand accounts from those who’ve been close to — and even experienced — death, the series takes viewers on an extraordinary journey into a world beyond human existence as we know it.”

I like that last comment in the trailer: “I think I’ll be asking questions until the day I die…again.”

The series is a based on a book with the same title, written by journalist Leslie Kean. Each episode will focus on a single topic, from scientific studies of those who have briefly died and come back to life, to more supernatural matters such as spirit communication, ghost sightings, near-death experiences, and reincarnation.

The series will premiere on Netflix today, January 6, 2021.
