Ladies and gentlemen, once again we have an important matter to discuss. On today’s menu: the top secret alien moon base. You heard right.
During the Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969, as Neil Armstrong became the first human to step foot on the moon, audiences around the world were captivated. “One small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind,” he said as he famously descended the ladder of the Lunar Module.
But afterward, he apparently said something else: that he could see a light inside of a nearby crater. Mission Control requested more information, but as far as listeners were concerned, the transmission went dead.
However, some believe those two minutes of silent transmission were intentional, hiding a conversation that could have changed the entire world. And leave it to HAM radio operators to pick it up (allegedly):
Armstrong: What was it? What the hell was it? That’s all I want to know!
Mission Control: What’s there?… malfunction (garble) … Mission Control calling Apollo 11…
Apollo 11: These babies were huge, sir!… Enormous!… Oh, God! You wouldn’t believe it! … I’m telling you there are other space-craft out there … lined up on the far side of the crater edge! … They’re on the Moon watching us!
But was there proof? Allegedly (again), Buzz Aldrin captured color footage of the alien crafts, but it was confiscated upon their return to Earth. The astronauts were silenced, and NASA refused to acknowledge any such event. Nonetheless, a handful of pictures surfaced that many claim are evidence of alien activity on the moon.
Alleged Evidence of the Alien Moon Base
The Apollo program ended in 1975. While this could have been the natural progression of our space program, some believe our flights to the moon were ended abruptly in the public eye to prevent us from discovering the truth. Knowledge of the secret moon base would be relegated to alien theorists on the Internet.
But that, of course, means the story is only beginning.
The name of this secret moon base, allegedly given to it by the intelligence community, is LUNA, and it’s located on the far side of the moon. Here are a few images that purportedly contain evidence of this base.

Whether or not there actually is an alien moon base, the U.S. had plans to get in on the action, themselves, with Project Horizon. Last year, the National Security Archive declassified the project’s documents, over 100 pages that outlined the permanent installation of a lunar base back in 1959. We never went through with it (as far we know!), but perhaps some day we will.
