Load up 2014’s Goat Simulator and take a walk right into the ordinary garage at the very beginning of Goatville. Inside, you’ll find a beacon. Well, a be(a)con. It’s a small anomalous device that appears to display a hologram of a slice of bacon.
I’m not sure why there’s bacon in the beacon, but drop this thing on the empty pole inside the nearby crop formation, the one missing its own beacon, and within moments a flying saucer will appear, gliding over above the forest trees.

They’ll put bacon in anything
The crop circle in this case is a pretty small and basic one shaped a bit like a dumbbell. It’s sort of a truncated Wiltshire crop circle, like the one photographed on July 11, 1990, known as the Eastfield Pictogram. The real one was about 600 ft long and appeared overnight near Alton Barnes. It’s one of the most famous crop circles, and was even featured on a Led Zeppelin album cover.

This one’s very small in comparison.
Wiltshire, England is a known hotspot for crop circles. Maybe Stonehenge has something to do with that? Well what do you know, there’s also a stone circle right next to our goat crop circle here. They call it Goathenge.

Beyond crop circles, the concept of ley lines or linked ancient sites could be at play here, but that’s probably a reach. Beacon hills are more likely. Those places where beacons of fire would be lit to communicate, like the beacons lit at Minas Tirith and across the White Mountains (in Lord of the Rings). I could see that.
There’s an idea out there that crewed extraterrestrial UFOs might use ancient landmarks, such as Stonehenge or the Pyramids of Giza, as beacons or navigational wayfinders. I don’t know anything about that. Those who seek contact, or Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind (under one definition of the extended Hynek classification system, and mostly used for pop UFO CE5 events), might use their own beacons, lights, lasers, and so on, to try to attract UFOs. Just like our goat.
Whatever way you look at it, it’s really a sort of ritual, a closing of the circuit to invite an extraterrestrial presence to beam you up into space so you can get that Rymdskepp i Rymden achievement. That’s an interesting phrase, huh? It means Spaceship in Space in Swedish, from what I understand. Goat In Space would be Get i Rymden.
