“Dance of the Little Swans”
RELEVANCE: ERR. From Act 2 of Swan Lake, a ballet composed by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky.
Reports of strange activity on the Russian numbers station UVB-76 (also known as the Buzzer) occurred in 2010. For many years, repeated beeps and buzzes emanated from the station uninterrupted, with the occasional male voice speaking what seemed to be random words and names. However, for a short time in June and August 2010, the station went momentarily silent, then returned. In late August, the beeps and buzzes were replaced by noises of shuffling paper in a small room.
In September 2010, excerpts from “Dance of the Little Swans” could be heard.
