As we enter the third week of Art Bell’s Dark Matter, I thought now would be a good time to share my opinion on the show so far.

I’m listening to it right now. Art Bell just read the news, and now he’s talking to his first guest this week, Dr. Michael Heiser. Not much else needs to be said, because at this point I can’t tell where Art’s Coast to Coast AM ended and Dark Matter began.

Photo of Do We Still Believe in the Paranormal?

Strange footage of a hairy creature walking through the woods. Orbs caught on still pictures. Triangular lights blinking in the night sky. We’ve seen the videos and heard the stories, but how many people today truly believe in the paranormal?

I haven’t posted too much this summer, if you haven’t noticed. Mostly it’s because, well, it’s summer, but I’ve also been up to other things outside Stranger Dimensions. On September 16, 2013, Art Bell will return with a new show called Dark Matter on SiriusXM Radio.

Excited? I am. But I also wonder: Will Dark Matter capture what we all liked about Art Bell’s Coast to Coast AM? Or will it be a different beast entirely? Well, we won’t know until we get there, but for now I thought it’d be cool to share a few things I’d personally like to see when Dark Matter arrives later this month.

Last month, Nathan Ziegler was out testing his new camera at Old Pioneer Cemetery in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. He’d placed it on a tripod to capture a time-lapse of the sunset on the hill, a nice shot of some tombstones, the horizon, and a tree off in the distance.

Edward Bulwer-Lytton is known for many things. He’s the man who coined the phrases “pursuit of the almighty dollar” and “the pen is mightier than the sword.” He gave us that most (in)famous of opening lines, “It was a dark and stormy night,” which spawned the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. He was a novelist, a poet, a politician.
