I’m a bit late to the party on the Olympics front, but here’s a video of a Japanese basketball robot firing off at half-time during the USA-France game last month.
The robot is officially known as the CUE 3 humanoid robot, created by the Toyota Engineering Society. But Basketball Robot will do.
It’s also known for having “nearly 100 percent accuracy.” If you’d like to check out some of its past escapades, here’s another video from 2019 of CUE 3 going up against a couple human basketball players in a “shoot battle.” Spoiler: The robot wins.
I can’t wait until the 2036 Robot Olympics.
