I can’t get enough of these 4K AI remasters of old TV shows and home movies.
Here’s one of Match Game back in 1983, brought to us by YouTube’s very own Bob the Taco.
“The 1983 game show remastered in 4K and stereo audio. First video is the comparison, second video is the original standard definition video, third video is the remaster.”
As mentioned in an accompanying Reddit thread, he not only remastered the video, but was able to find the original audio track online, and used phase cancellation to separate the raw vocals and applause, bringing everything into stereo.
The only problem? Apparently, the AI doesn’t handle faces well (most noticeable in the last shot as the two presenters walk out).
