Reykjavik Volcano Lava Fountains Captured On Video from Home Balcony

It happens, sometimes. You’re looking out your window in Reykjavik and hey, there’s a volcano erupting outside. Better grab the camera!

“I went to my balcony to film again after hearing there were really huge lava fountains spewing around midnight local time, and lo and behold I caught the 2 biggest ones…”

The above footage was captured at 2:00 a.m. on May 2, 2021 just as Fagradalsfjall in Reykjavik, Iceland decided to blow chunks again. The volcano recently started erupting for the first time in 800 years back in March (with early footage captured by a drone, no less).

It looks like things are still pretty hot over there.
