Last month, we saw a full solar eclipse slice its way across North America, and with it came some pretty odd warnings about increases in paranormal activity and, yes, Bigfoot sightings. Did any of that happen?
I have no idea, but here are a few Bigfoot-related stories and videos that popped up over the last month.
1. A Late-Night Bigfoot
The Bigfoot investigation team Bigfoot 911 had their own sighting on Friday, August 4.
The team was out in a forested area in McDowell County, North Carolina when they witnessed a “creature.” The sighting happened at about 11:00 p.m.
They’d been placing glow sticks around the forest, hoping to gain Bigfoot’s attention, when something emerged from beyond the trees and began throwing rocks at them. One of the team members described the creature as “a large bi-pedal animal covered in hair.” The creature’s face, however, was “solid black,” and completely hairless.
The creature then ran off into the woods. That, however, wasn’t the end of their story. In fact, it actually went off into some pretty odd directions.
The Sasquatch Shaman Situation of North Carolina
The following week, a man named Gawain MacGregor stepped forward, claiming to have been wandering through that area on the night of the sighting. According to BBC News, he’d been out on a “sacrament” and was “wearing…hair-covered animal skins.” He also claims that, by dressing in animal skins and reciting a “sasquatch prayer,” he has himself had “several encounters with the beast.”

Bigfoot 911, however, contested this claim, stating that the creature they saw on August 4 stood “around 8ft tall” and moved faster than any human could. It couldn’t have been MacGregor.
South Carolina police later put out a warning, just in case, asking everyone not to shoot Bigfoot, because it could just be some guy.
Well, whatever really happened, all this strange activity in North Carolina has sparked heavy interest by the locals. According to the Charlotte Observer, now Bigfoot 911 plans to hold a Bigfoot Festival in September 2018, which they describe as a “normal festival setting with a Bigfoot twist.”
Bigfoot Juice – Order Yours Today!
We interrupt our previously scheduled list of Bigfoot sightings to bring you the hottest new item this fall: Bigfoot Juice! The spray, developed by Allie Megan Webb, costs $7 a bottle, and you can also use it as a bug repellent.
According to Citizen Times, her spray has already been field tested by none other than Bigfoot 911. In fact, her husband is a member, and they reportedly used the Bigfoot Juice during that late-night investigation in early August.
As Webb explained, “To attract a Bigfoot, you need a smell that is woodsy enough to keep from scaring him off, but slightly different enough to make him curious, and come to investigate.”
2. Iowa Bigfoot Photos
Moving on, YouTube channel Nv Tv shared some potential evidence from Northwest Iowa. The photos (described as “very clear”) were taken during a hike, and show a hairy humanoid standing next to a tree.
3. Some Dubious Trail Cam Footage
You can tell by the text in this video that Nv Tv was hesitant to even share it. The “creature” could be a bear, it could be a hoax, it could be anything.
Uploaded on August 14, what we see here is some alleged trail cam footage taken in Lake City, Colorado back in 2013. It purportedly shows a “Bigfoot-like creature” gathering apples below an apple tree.
They believe this creature, if real, may have a skin condition.
4. Sasquatch Stands in the Trees
Finally, we have this video that popped up on August 11, which contains some photos of a “massive beast” unlike anything anyone has ever seen. That’s the claim, at least. The hulking creature is seen standing ominously among some trees. If you can’t see it, don’t worry — they circle it for you!
And that’s about all for August.
Another short feature that caught my eye was this one about Chris Godwin and Stacy Brown Jr., who spent some time last month hiking through the Chattachoochee forest in Florida, searching for Bigfoot. Brown claims he saw Bigfoot in that very location six years ago, and has since devoted much of his time in pursuit of the hairy cryptid. He hopes his name will one day go down in history as the person who “discovered the species.”
