A UFO Spotted Over Leeds (And Other Yorkshire Activity)

Some UFO videos are shaky and hard to make out. Others are just too good to be true.

Here, we have an alleged sighting over Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. Date unknown. The audio, as per the text in the video, has been removed to “protect the names and identities of the eyewitnesses.”

What we’re left with is the view of a seemingly large unidentified craft hovering above the city, lasting for around three minutes before, in a “flash of light,” it spontaneously vanishes.

If only it were real! But a singular UFO hovering above a populated area during the day, slowly passing overhead and in perfect view – you’d imagine there would be at least some news reports covering this situation. Then again…

Yorkshire is no stranger to UFO sightings. In December 2013, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported on a sighting over Leeds (with footage) that occurred on November 24 that year. Like the above footage, it involved a strange object hovering overhead, although this one occurred at night and it was glowing. Possibly a drone.

Likewise, for the past three months, the Yorkshire Standard has reported on at least three separate UFO encounters: an object over Grimescar Woods in Huddersfield on January 10; another glowing UFO over Leeds on February 8; and a “large ball of light” once again over Huddersfield, which appeared repeatedly in March.

The truth is out there!

  1. Looks like a very mechanical camera movement for “jerky” hand held footage, check out 1:20 to 1:35 you’ll see at least one perfect stop after a few shakes and then a completely uniform pan up (keeping the horizon line absolutely straight), seems a but funky to me. Also the Star Trek Enterprise jumping to Warp flash of light at the end is just one effect too far :-) Good effort though.
