These Anamorphic Illusions Have Declared War on Your Brain

You know, our brains aren’t perfect. We can’t always believe our own eyes, for all the good they do us. Take, for example, these anamorphic illusions, brought to us by YouTube user brusspup.

They’re distorted photorealistic print-outs that, when viewed at the perfect angle, appear mind-bogglingly realistic.

It’s a cool trick, especially the illusions in this next video. Stay until the end, but have a bucket ready for when your brain melts out your ears.

Oh, and I almost forgot about these papercraft Tyrannosaurus Rex. Are these dinosaurs actually watching you, or is it your imagination, hmm?

Anyway, brusspup has also provided image downloads, so you can try these illusions for yourself: Rubik’s Cube, Tape, Shoe, Green T-Rex, Red T-Rex, and Blue T-Rex. Unfortunately, if you ask me, I think the true magic’s in the quality of his printer!
