Unidentified “Creature” Caught On Film In Lough Foyle

A film crew claims to have caught a “monster” on video while shooting at Lough Foyle (or Loch Foyle) in Ireland.

You can see it in the video, a large unindentified object that glides through the water before submerging out of view.

From the YouTube video description:

“Was shooting in Lough Foyle when this thing went past us. It was massive. Really don’t know what it was. There have been whales in the Lough before so maybe that’s what it was but Matthew was closer than we were and says it was no whale. Looks like we have our own Loch Ness Monster?! Any experts out there?”

Later, Conall Melarkey (who uploaded the video), described the encounter:

“It’s really difficult to determine what species of creature it was. I really don’t think this can be a whale. I’ve seen whales, but I’ve never seen one swim like this before. Also, the pattern on it doesn’t really look like its a whale. I couldn’t tell you how long it was, but by the actual effect it was having on the water I’d say its pretty big, there was definitely more to see below the surface anyway.”

And finally, an interesting comment by R Johnston, who thinks nuclear waste might have something to do with it:

“For years there’s been talk about this in the area and cover-up stories saying it was ‘dopey dick the whale’ and sunken u-boats from the war. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was connected to radioactive waste dumped in the Irish sea from the nuclear power station across the water – and we are witnessing mutant wildlife now.”

I’ll make no guesses about what this actually is. Could be a giant hunk of trash, for all I know, or perhaps just another odd hoax. Or both. You decide!

Nessie. Iceland’s Lagarfljót Worm. The Kraken.

Who knows what mysteries lurk beneath the watery depths of our lakes and oceans?
