Ghosts Allegedly Manifest and Open Doors at Two Haunted Hospitals

Something strange is going on at two hospitals in Argentina.

Staff at the Hospital Parajón Ortiz de Famaillá are trying to understand some mysterious CCTV footage captured last month, reports the Mirror. The footage shows a gate swinging open, seemingly on its own. Many believe this was caused by the spirit of a doctor who once worked there.

Apparently, this isn’t the first unexplained event that’s happened at the hospital. It’s also plagued by reports of manifestations and cold spots, especially at night.

In another case, a nurse at Cardoba Children’s Hospital allegedly captured footage of a haunting specter in one of the hospital’s corridors, according to The Daily Mail.

The ghost appeared as a shadowy figure hiding behind a bed (though it’s difficult to make out). In the video, the nurse calls the name “Estella,” and asks the tiny spirit to “come here.” She claims the child passed away in a nearby room at the hospital’s abandoned children’s ward, and now haunts her final resting place.

Many are skeptical of these alleged hauntings, of course. Gates do swing open on their own occasionally, and shadows on film are always dubious. The apparition in particular looks very much like a case of pareidolia. On the other hand, if any place would be haunted, it’d be a hospital.
