Art Bell hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit this evening, in preparation for the launch of his new show, Midnight in the Desert, on July 20, 2015.

He answered a variety of questions about everything from Midnight to his favorite paranormal stories. And in a mysterious turn of events, his Facebook page coincidentally exploded right as he was sharing info about it with his followers. Strange.

Anyway, here are a few snippets from some of the answers I found interesting, but head over to r/IAmA for more.

On whether or not he’ll take unscreened calls:

“Not only YES but HELL YES. As a matter of fact that’s ALL im going to take, UNSCREENED CALLS.”

On why his bumper music is so important:

“For me, not just to the audience. It sets the mood, the feeling, of the kind of topics that I am doing. Make no mistake about it. I run my own bumper music for exactly that reason.”

On what he’d like to learn the truth about:

“Time Travel. Time Travel….Time Travel. Look for it on Midnight.”

On the Area 51 Caller:

“Area 51 caller, at the time it occurred I absolutely thought it was real. There are others since, who have expressed doubts. But it sure as hell was good radio.”

On what ghost stories freak him out:

“…those that include SHINING RED EYES. I don’t like those at all. And if anything keeps me awake at night, it’s red eyes. I even wince a little bit at people who haven’t had enough sleep.”

On what paranormal topic frightens him the most:

“The truth is, EVP’s (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Specifically. The EVP’s from children. They really are disturbing, I can take the adult stuff, but the kids….”

And that’s all I’ll share here, folks. Be sure to check out the full r/IAmA.

Will Midnight in the Desert rock our paranormal world? Will JC call again? Will Art’s Facebook page ever return? Tune in next week, and see (or rather hear) for yourself!
