Art Bell to Return with “Dark Matter”

I didn’t say anything when I heard about Art Bell’s potential return earlier this month. I mean, we’ve seen rumors like that before, and even with the cryptic  WANNATAKEARIDE? in Morse code on his website, I was still suspicious.

But here we are today and news has hit that Art Bell will, in fact, return to the airwaves on Sirius XM Radio, with a new show called Art Bell’s Dark Matter.

The show will begin on September 16, broadcast from good old Pahrump, Nevada. It’ll air weeknights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., with the promise that the show be “uncensored, unrestricted, uncluttered and utterly unique.” Art Bell will pick up right where he left off, with discussions on the paranormal, interviews, and hopefully some open lines.

The only question that remains is whether or not the old magic will still be there. The fact that it’s on satellite will probably make things a bit different (what with a different and likely smaller audience).

But if you’re like me and you used to listen to Coast to Coast AM but you don’t anymore…well, you know why. Let’s hope Dark Matter fills that void.
