Does photographic proof of aliens actually exist? The answer would seemingly be YES!, but with Photoshop and the innumerable hoaxes on the Internet, that question isn’t so easily answered.
Now, I’m not personally saying the following images prove the existence of aliens, or that we’ve been visited by extraterrestrials. I’ve explained my stance on this before. But they’re ones I find compelling (and maybe a few that are slightly hoaxy, just for fun).
So let’s get to it.
The Phoenix Lights
Say what you will about some of the more unbelievable claims, the Phoenix Lights incident of March 13, 1997 stands as one of the more compelling encounters with unidentified lights/crafts.
That’s because they were seen by thousands of people spanning Arizona, Nevada, and Sonora, Mexico, including then-governor of Arizona Fife Symington:
“I’m a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies. It was bigger than anything that I’ve ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it, responsible people…”
Triangular, V-shaped formations of spherical lights of varying colors (red, orange, yellow, and in some cases white) were reported moving in the twilight sky.
How do we explain this mysterious phenomenon?
The Wow! Signal
On August 15, 1977, astronomer Jerry R. Ehman was busy at work analyzing data collected by SETI’s Big Ear radio telescope.
Imagine his surprise when he noticed a strong signal originating from beyond our solar system, which lasted for a full 72 seconds.
The signal actually came from the direction of the constellation Sagittarius, which contains Tau Sagittarii, “the closest easily visible star.” It was eventually dubbed The Wow! Signal, after the note Ehman left on the computer printout.
It hasn’t occurred since, and continues to raise profound questions. Could it have been a radio transmission from an alien civilization?
Odd Lights In Michigan
I pulled this one from my old collection of MUFON reports, back when I was still tracking UFO sightings. It’s from December 13, 2011, and was taken in Michigan. Here’s the original report:
“My nephew was working in Unionville MI, He does construction all over the state of MI, He saw what looked to be 2 moons fused. He then snapped a photo and uploaded it to his facebook while at work. I am his aunt and think it needs to be reported. I am including the photo of what he saw, maybe someone else saw this. he has the original photo on his cell phone.”
I’m highlighting it here because it showcases something I’ve seen in several reports: two bright, glowing orbs seemingly connected to one another.
Are they part of an alien craft, or simply a trick of the light?
An Alien Sonic Boom?
Another, more recent example from the MUFON database. This one includes another commonly-repeated characteristic: what appears to be a green, glowing sonic boom in the sky.
This particular encounter occurred on March 11, 2012 in the eastern skies of Westland, Michigan at 11:17 p.m. From the report:
“While working on low light photography I spotted a slight green glow in the Eastern Sky. When viewing photo of a 20 sec exp at F/5.6 ISO 100 at 18mm I noticed a Green Glowing Object that left a trail.”
And now for some of the more dubious claims:
The Madonna with Saint Giovannino, Proof Of Ancient Aliens?
Perhaps you’ve seen this image on Ancient Aliens.
It’s a painting allegedly created in the 15th Century by Domenico Ghirlandaio.
Personally, I’m suspicious of the painting’s true origins (perhaps mistakenly). You can see a dark, oval object in the sky in the upper right, just above Mary’s left shoulder. A man is also in the background, seemingly looking at the strange craft in the sky.
Several other biblical paintings, as well as ancient cave drawings and hieroglyphs, contain what would seem to be alien crafts and creatures. Could this be proof that aliens have mingled with Earth’s ancient peoples?
Alien Skull Found In Bulgaria?
On May 21, 2001, a villager allegedly discovered a mysterious skull and other remains (including a fragmented metal disc) on the border of Bulgaria and Greece, right in the Rhodope Mountains.
He was driven there by a strange dream, in which he saw “five people, with yellow metallic clothes” and was told to search for the objects.
It’s a strange story, and you can read more about it here. It’s filed under “Possible Hoaxes,” perhaps for good reason. But you never know.
White House Christmas Card UFO
This was always a fun one.
On December 18, 2011, a woman received an official Christmas card from First Lady Michelle Obama. It was fairly ordinary: It featured an evening scene of the front of the White House, a gradient, dark blue sky fading into night.
But what’s that, in the sky? A UFO?
As the story went, other cards featuring the same image were lacking the strange, spherical disc, leading some to believe that this particular copy — the one featuring the alien craft — wasn’t meant for the public. The others had been edited to remove the UFO.
A Cloaked UFO On Fox News?
And, finally, let’s end on a fairly recent piece of “evidence.”
The above video was captured by Fox News during President Obama’s recent inauguration. Well, in the interest of full disclosure, the video uploaded to Youtube was taken on a cell phone, using footage recorded on a DVR.
It’s a shot of the Washington Monument just before the two anchors go to break. You can see two red lights shining from the monument itself, but what’s that?
Two other, white orbs seemingly appear out of nowhere, and vanish just as quickly.
Some are claiming these orbs may be evidence of a cloaking alien craft. The two orbs disappear in a blue haze.
So, what do you think? Have we been visited by aliens?
Is the truth really out there?
