Have Scientists Discovered Evidence Of The Yeti?

Scientists in Siberia believe they have discovered verifiable evidence of the Yeti.

Delving into the Azassky cave in the Kemerovo region of Siberia, they’ve uncovered hair and footprints of what they say is proof that the Yeti exists. Valery Kimeyev, archeology professor at Kemerov University, however, believes that without locating the remains of this creature, the findings are moot.

“As long as we don’t find the bones of this snowman,” he says, “It is pointless to talk about him.”

The Yeti, or Abominable Snowman, is an “ape-like cryptid” similar to Bigfoot, most commonly associated with the Himalayan mountains of Nepal, India.

Update – November 22, 2011: New details have come to light suggesting that the Yeti “evidence” was, in fact, staged.
